Don’t get me wrong, I love all animals, but I have a specific affinity with dogs. I just think they’re little furry angels and we really don’t deserve them. I get SO happy about dogs, or pets & other animals in general at weddings, that I’m literally about to write a whole blog about the loveable fluffballs I have met over the last 6 years of my career. So keep your eye out for that one!

 

If you approach me to shoot your wedding and fill in your enquiry with your wedding plans and one of the plans is to have your precious pooch pop by (or even stick around for the full day), there is a chance that I will potentially be mesmerised for a while on your wedding day.

 

So when Jazz & Ste told me that they would be bringing their adorable Brussels Griffon x Boston Terrier pup, Santi, to their ceremony venue for some photo opportunities, I was SO HAPPY. He arrived wearing a mini tuxedo and I just about died on the spot. 

 

Look at his little grumpy face, couldn’t you just squish him!![/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” text_align=”left”][vc_column][image_with_text image=”35675″][/image_with_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row css_animation=”” row_type=”row” use_row_as_full_screen_section=”no” type=”full_width” text_align=”left” css=”.vc_custom_1481564211855{padding-bottom: 35px !important;}”][vc_column][vc_column_text]To be honest, there was really nothing ordinary about Jazz & Ste’s day in general, which is absolutely perfect for me as I’m not your ordinary wedding photographer!

 

Jazz got ready with her best gals at an apartment literally a stone’s throw from the ceremony venue, Liverpool Town Hall. I think it took them about 15 seconds to walk over once they were all glammed up and ready to go.

 

And, continuing in true city wedding style, the wedding reception venue, OH ME OH MY, was only about 2 mins walk from the ceremony venue. Conveniences like that are what can really accentuate the location you have chosen for your big day, as well as limit the amount of travel time, which equates to what? You got it. MORE DRINKING TIME!

 

Jazz, being the stylish lady she naturally is, also went for something slightly alternative with her wedding dress. The Charlie Brear gown was light and floaty, not rigid nor restrictive, including a super hot split up the front to show off her bloody gorgeous leg tattoos, allowing her to move freely throughout the day and really feel like herself. This is a great tip to anyone looking for their dream dress right now – don’t wear something that doesn’t feel like you! You want to wear the dress, you don’t want the dress wearing you. (Ooh did I sound like Tan from Queer Eye just then??)

 

One of my favourite parts of Jazz & Ste’s day was party time because these guys definitely KNOW how to party! Seeing this pair dance like loons with all their mates was super refreshing and I definitely lost track of time as I was swept away in all the fun. A great way to make sure your photographer gets a tonne of brilliant dancing images of you, your family and friends is to make sure YOU stick around on the dancefloor for at least the first 5 songs after your first dance.

OUR FAVOURITE PARTS OF THE DAY

Some of our friends came from Canada and America who we hadn’t seen in a while so it was very special. We also loved that absolutely everyone was up dancing. WEDDING PLANNING AND ADVICE

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][vc_column_text]The planning started off to a bit of a bad start! We had originally booked St George’s Hall to be married in. They called one afternoon to inform us that we had been double booked and offered other venues. Although we were slightly disheartened to start with, the Town Hall was incredible and by far a better choice in terms of location too.

 

Our joint hen/stag in west Wales was glamping in torrential rain, which turned out to be in the back garden of this very odd lady’s house who kept coming into our tents whilst we slept; not ideal! But you just have to go with it! Now we look back with the funniest memories of it.

WHY WE CHOSE AMY

[/vc_column_text][vc_empty_space height=”20px”][vc_column_text]After searching Instagram we came across Amy and we were blown away. Soon after we found out that she actually photographed my cousin’s wedding and the images were beautiful. We knew straight away that we wanted to use Amy.

 

We were slightly nervous to go and get our portraits taken, but after meeting Amy for the first time we knew we had made the right choice.

It was such a spontaneous photo opportunity.
